First Day of School! First Day of School!

It's been a whirlwind of a week in our house, but nothing bigger than everyone going back to school. Or, in the case of Sophia and Hudson, going to school for the first time. That's right, my two smallest munchkins headed off to preschool for the first time this week. We've been planning this for over a year now (rather, I should say they've sat on a waiting list to get into this school for over a year now), but it's amazing the day finally came. They were pumped. We were nervous. Looking back now, I have no idea why. They both love it and it's been fantastic for them! Not a tear was shed (by anyone!) and they have both adapted very fast.

Isabelle headed off to her first day of school this morning. Third grade. Second floor of the school with the big kids. Does that make her a big kid at school? Shut your mouth. When the hell did that happen?!? I have no doubt today will be great for her. My goal has always been for Sophia and Hudson to find as much love and happiness at school that Isabelle always has; I think we're on the right track. She knows pretty much everyone in her class (shocking, I know...), and turns out her desk is right by the teacher. Just where the constant teacher's pet likes to start out. Eventually she'll be moved to the other side of the room, never to see the teacher this close again, because she is the least likely to cause problems but will be the first one to rat somebody out that's doing something wrong (she's not known as "the informer" for nothin) but she'll enjoy these days while she can.
